Over the years I have designed and taught several courses.  Below is my latest endeavor at the University of Helsinki, Finland.

An introduction to ecological and evolutionary functional genomics

During the fall of 2006 I developed and taught and introductory course on functional genomics at the University of Helsinki to a group of graduate students and high level undergraduates.  This course incorporated both lectures on primary research and computer labs using relevant software.  The course was very well recieved with an impressive amount of student participation.

Since teaching this course I have encountered the textbook, An Introduction to Ecological Genomics by Van Straalen and Roelofs.  This looks like an excellent textbook and I look forward to teaching this course again using it along with my previously designed lectures and computer labs.
